Artist Biography

William Scott (1913–1989) was a leading figure in mid-century British art, celebrated for his distinctive approach to still life. Rooted in everyday domestic objects, his work distilled frying pans, pots, and tableware into bold, abstract forms. Scottish-born and raised in Northern Ireland, he studied at the Royal Academy and drew further influence from his years living in France.
