William Miller Frazer was a painter born at Scone, Perth. In 1890 Frazer travelled extensively on the continent, visiting and working in Algeria, Holland, Italy and Norway. He was also fond of the Norfolk Broads, the Fens and the Lowlands of Fife. He was a founder member of the Society of Scottish Artists, of which he was also President in 1908. In a career spanning seventy years, he was elected an Associate of the Royal Society of Arts in 1909, a full member in 1924 and Treasurer from 1932-1937. His work is represented in Perth Museum and Art Gallery, City of Edinburgh Art Collection, and at St. Andrews University.
