Description
A country lane scene in soft washes of grey, ochre and green, with a thatched whitewashed cottage to the right and villagers gathered by its door, a small dog at their feet and children playing on a makeshift see-saw. The handling is loose and fluid throughout, the figures suggested with quick touches of colour rather than detail. Signed to the lower right. Presented in a gilt frame. On paper.Condition
Minor wear to the frame. The artwork is in very good condition for its age.
