Description
This accomplished nautical study depicts HMS Garnet, a Royal Navy Doterel-class screw sloop-of-war launched on 31 August 1878. The vessel became a training ship on the Thames in 1903, before being loaned as a boys' training ship on the Hamble from 1913. Presented mounted in a slim black frame. Signed lower left. On paper.Condition
Even discolouration to the paper. Several closed tears to the lower third. The frame has minor surface wear, including small chips and scuffs. The artwork is in very good condition for its age.
