William M. Prendergast lived in Cheyne Walk, London, exhibiting 1898 to 1902 at the Dudley Gallery. He may have been brought up, or lived, at Whittington, Worcester, as many of his subjects were taken from the area. His career was in the army, where he served in the Near East and became a Major. Some of his known watercolours are of Suez, North Wales and London.
