William J. Phillips ARCA - Original 19th Century Watercolour. A village scene with figures and a cart horse on a bridge in Chideock, Dorset. Signed faintly to the lower left, presented in a washline mount and simple frame, inscribed with title and artist to the reverse. Phillips exhibited at the Royal Academy 1898-89 (inscribed verso). Signed indistinctly, On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing, dirt to the mount. The frame has some very minor wear but is generally in good condition.
