William Ibbitt (1804-1869) - Signed 1824 Pen and Ink Drawing, Wandering Figures

A detailed pen and ink drawing of three figures walking through the vast landscape past various villages and towns. The artist has used incredible detail and penmanship to depict the buildings and trees in the distance. It has been signed and dated to the lower right and has been presented in a white mount and simple black frame. On wove.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is also an area of restoration to the lower right quadrant where some white body colour has been used to cover some unseen damage. There are also some various scuff marks to the frame.
