A charming oil painting by Danish artist William Henriksen depicting a white sailed windmill and cottage in the seaside town of Dronningmølle, Denmark. The painting has been signed to the lower left-hand corner. With the later addition of a location and date by another hand. Well presented in a contemporary gilt effect frame, with swan and foliate corner ornament. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration caused by a buildup of nicotine smoke. There is a small hole to the canvas in the upper right quadrant, and a small raised dent on the same line, to the left. Otherwise in very good condition.
