Artist Biography
William Francis Burton was a painter of marine and seascapes and some figure studies, born in North Walsham, Norfolk. Mainly self-taught, he did, however, have some tuition from his father-in-law, the Irish painter William Crampton-Gore. He travelled extensively in India, the Far East, and Australia, where he exhibited under the name of Angelo Perini. He also showed at the RSMA, and his work was reproduced as prints by Soloman and Whitehead.
