Artist Biography
Willi Kissmer was born in Duisburg, Germany in 1951 and attended University in Essen. He started his working career as a musician and produced three rock albums. He later quit the music business to focus on visual arts where he excelled at rendering fabric. He taught printmaking at his alma mater throughout the 1980s and displayed his work in numerous exhibitions all over the world until his death in 2018.
