A view of J.M.W. Turner's house on Cheyne Walk, Chelsea, London. Inscribed with the title in plate to the lower edge and signed in graphite to the lower-left edge. On wove.

Condition

The plate lines are intact. There are some creases at the upper corners and some mild discolouration to the substrate.

Artist Biography

Walter William Burgess RE (1856-1908) was a Southampton-born etcher and architect who exhibited at the RA and at Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. He was elected RE in 1883.
