Walter Eastwood (1867-1943)- original watercolour. Horse and cart waiting at the water mill with chickens scratching out front. Signed to the lower left and dated 1937. On watercolour paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a faint watermark in the top left-hand corner.

Artist Biography

Walter Eastwood (1867-1943) was born in Rochdale, Lancashire and studied at The Heywood School of Art, Lancs. After moving to Lytham St Annes in 1902, he helped to form the Lytham St Annes Art Society. In 1912 he became its first President. Eastwood exhibited at the Royal Cambrian Academy, the Walker Art Gallery and also provincial galleries.
