Artist Biography
Painter of landscapes, portraits and figures in oil and watercolour, born in Ware, Hertfordshire. Horsnell studied at Bolt Court and St. Martin's School of Art and between 1929-39 Horsnell was a graphic artist for various London art studios and a designer for motion picture presentation. During World War II he worked as an Official War Artist and technical illustrator for the Ministry of Aircraft Production. He showed at the RA, RBA and held a solo exhibition at the Harrogate Festival in 1970. Examples of his work are in the collections of Grundy Art Gallery, Lambeth Palace and the Mercer Art Gallery.
