Description
A 19th century strike of an 1796 engraving titled 'View of the Tchin-Shan, or Golden Island in the Yang-tse-kiang, or Great River of China' by William Wilson (c.1770-1799) after William Alexander (1767-1816). Inscribed with the names of the artists, title, and publication information to the lower edge. There is an identical impression in the collection of the British Museum. On wove.Condition
Cropped to the plate lines. There is a closed tear at the centre of the lower edge measuring 3.5cm. There is some minor discolouration.
