Description
An engraving with hand colouring after Benjamin Marshall's oil painting 'Thomas Hilton and His Hound 'Glory''. This engraving makes particularly striking use of colour contrast through Hilton's red coat. 'Glory' carries a fox before his master as the pack of hounds plays to the left of the composition, and Hilton's country house can be seen to the right-hand side of the background. Well-presented in a double mount in blue with a gilt-effect inner and a thin gilt-effect frame. Signature, title, and date inscribed in plate. On wove.Condition
Some minor foxing and discolouration. Some minor scuffs to the frame. Overall in good condition.
