W. Palmer after J. F. Millet - Early 20thC Pen and Ink Drawing, The Wood-Cutter
Description
A wonderful pen and ink version of the original sketch by Millet. This artist's copy holds much of the naturalistic light and simplicity found in Barbizon School works produced by Millet. The artist has signed to the lower right and inscribed Millet's name below. The artist has also inscribed the title and date at the lower edge. The drawing has been attractively presented in an oak frame with gilt inner window and car mount. On wove.Condition
The drawing is in fine condition. There are some contemporary graphite marks at the outer edges of the drawing from previous framing. The frame has general surface scuffing.
