Very Small Original 17th Century Antiques. A magnificent 17th century carved oak coffer of very small proportions. The carving is all original, as the hardware appears to be. This coffer is locked and we have never been able to open it, so we do not know what, if anything, is inside. There is deterioration of the wood at the back of the lid as shown, and there are repaired cracks to the lid, as well as general signs of age. The patina is superb. 87 x 47 cm, 48 cm high.
