Vernon Wethered (1865 - 1952) - Signed Original 1941 Oil. Signed lower right. Inscribed and dated on the reverse. Full title ' From the Terrace, Milton Ernest Hall'. Signed. On canvas on stretchers. In fine condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.Son of Bristol Colliery owner Henry Weathered. Vernon studied at Clifton College between (1875-1884). He then went on to study at Oriel College Oxford and the Slade School of Fine Art, London. He was elected to the New England Art Club in 1932 and exhibited 37 works at the NEAC, 57 at the Redfern Gallery and various other salons.
