A striking 20th Century, naive style interior scene in watercolour. The artist's naive yet dark style is truly engaging with this mysterious dark blue room taken up by a pair of embracing Chough birds and a woman gazing out of an open window onto a misshapen town below. Filled with symbolism, this fine piece of folk art has been signed and dated by the artist to the right side and handsomely presented in a duck egg blue frame with linen slip, gilt inner window and internal card mount. On watercolour paper.

Condition

The painting is in fine condition. The frame has general scuffing and surface dirtying.
