An expressive winter scene by Ukrainian artist Vadim P. Sokolov (b. 1942) depicting a couple fetching water from the village well. Signed in the artwork to the lower left, with an additional signature, inscription, and date (1988) in Cyrillic on the reverse. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Light dirtying to the surface of the painting. Some marks and minor abrasions to the perimeter of the canvas. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
