A flowing and decorative ukiyo-e woodblock by the renowned Utagawa Kunisada (1786 –1865) also known as Utagawa Toyokuni III. The print shows a beautiful geisha with wooden kanzashi (hair ornaments) ad a floral kimono adorned with white irises and seal stamps. The artist's signature and publisher's seal can be seen in the lower left corner. The form of this signature dates this print to be pre 1844.
The print has been presented in a protective cream card booklet.
On washi.The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There are several losses at the left hand edge and right hand edge. The There is general dirtying to the outer edges.
