This atmospheric work by Swiss artist Urs Heinrich Otto Waser (1913-2008) depicts a bustling port scene with crowds queuing for the next ferry crossing. In the foreground, a woman with a small terrier occupies the open ground, bringing depth to the cityscape beyond. The painting is well presented in a gilt-effect frame with a moulded profile. Signed 'Waser' to the lower right and dated '48. On canvas.
Condition
Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Light wear/small chip marks to the frame. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
