Artist Biography
Ugo Baracco was born in Padova in 1949, into a family deeply rooted into the arts.
In the early 70’s he moved to Venice where he began his career as an artist, painting landscapes and portraits.
Fascinated with the beauty of this enchanturies from all over the world, Baracco experimented with various techniques in etching, especially acquaforte and acquatinta, to try to capture the magical essence and atmosphere which is unique to Venice.
Many of his etchings and paintings can be found in public and private collections worldwide, included the permanent collection at the Italian Embassy to the United Nations in New York.
