A large, striking lino print by Tsugumi Ota (b.1951) depicting a nude woman playing the violin. Signed, dated, and titled in graphite below the image. Numbered 3/30. On paper.Condition
Signs of wear consistent with age including some discolouration to the paper. Slight warping to the paper and a few small crease lines. Marks and scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography
Tsugumi Ota is a Japanese-born printmaker and sculptor. She studied under Kokuta Suda and at Kobe University, before settling in Britain in the 1970s where she studied at the Central School of Art and Design in London, completing her postgraduate studies in 1983. Her work has been shown in various mixed exhibitions in Britain and Japan, including at the Royal Academy, British International Print Biennale, New Contemporaries, and Oxford Gallery. She has also had a number of solo shows including at the Waterman Art Centre, Cadogan Contemporary Art Gallery, Thumb Gallery, Jill George Gallery, Cheltenham Art Gallery, and Bradford City Galleries. Tsugumi Ota's work is held in several public collections, including the Sheffield City Art Gallery, Contemporary Art Society, British Council, and Birmingham University. She is also in the peerage, being married to the son of a Baron.
