Description

An extraordinarily detailed ukiyo-e woodblock in a yamato-e style of imagery. The artist shows a very skilled hand with fine hand painted details. The scene shows a bow maker's premises with several men, seated, working on stringing bows.

The print is presented taped to thick paper-stock and in a black paper mount.

On washi.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a pink stain to the lower right corner.
