A fine 18th Century engraving showing a costume portrait of Mr Dodd as Lord Foppington in Act 2, Scene 3 of The Careless Husband. Published in London for Bell's British Theatre, 1 January 1776, Harry Beard Collection. The artist's names are inscribed at the lower corners and the publisher's details and dates at the lower edge. The engraving is presented in a faux wood veneer frame with gilt inner window. On laid.
