A mother carrying her baby approaches along the shaded path, while rolling hills can be glimpsed beyond the stile at the woodland's edge. The work is signed to the lower right and is well presented in a gilt frame. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Slight discolouration and areas of craquelure. The canvas has been previously relined. Light wear to the corners of the frame. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age.
