Artist Biography

Illustrator and designer born in Shoreditch, London. As a young man in 1901 the national census gives his occupation as a glass engraver and ten years later he is recorded as an Art Editor. He studied at the Royal College of Art during the last decade of the 19th century and later illustrated many books. His death was recorded in Fulham. His wife Emily Overnell was also an illustrator. there is no record of T. J. Overnell having exhibited his work.
