Artist Biography
Thomas Mathews (1920-2000) was a Canadian artist. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-arts de Montreal and at the Museum of Fine Arts, before working in the graphic arts industry and as a fine art lithographer. He continued to build his reputation as a fine artist alongside this and also taught occasionally. Mathews' work has been exhibited throughout eastern Canada, including at the Four Winds Gallery in Oakville, the Peel County Art Gallery and Museum in Brampton, and with the Ontario Society of Artists.
