A hand coloured engraving. The original engraving was featured in a collection of the dresses of different nations, ancient and modern. Particularly old English dresses; after the designs of Holbein, Vandyke, Hollar and others, with an account of the authorities from which the figures are taken, and some short historical remarks on the subject. Originally from "The Collection of Curious Prints", published by T. Jefferys. Unsigned. On laid.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. The left edge is uneven, as it has been torn from a book. Plate line still visible.
