Thomas Gedge Cheeseman (b.1857) - 1925 Woodblock Winding Path

Description

A fine early 20th Century woodblock in crisp black on grey wove, showing a winding country path making its way around a hillside, under trees casting dappled shadows on the ground. The artist has signed ink ink to the lower edge and monogrammed and dated at the lower corners. The woodblock has been presented in a simple black frame with card mount. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. horizontal crease across the lower third.
