A delicately coloured impressionist street scene with the buildings picked out in pastel tones and figures strolling across a square. The artist has signed to the lower right and the painting has been handsomely presented in a carved and decapé, French impressionist frame from the mid 20th Century. On canvas.

Artist Biography

Theodorus van Oorschot (1910-1989) lived and worked most of his life in Schijndel. He was educated at the Academy of fine arts in Tilburg and was taught by Antoon van Domburg, Charles Bakker and Nico Molenkamp. He is known for his expressive landscapes, still lives and interiors in an impressionist style.
