Description

Theo Booth celebrates the jazz age glamour of the 1920's and 30's in this evocative composition. This highly original painting is full of art deco references and captures the playful sensuality of the early 20th century movement.

Excellently presented in a black and silver wood frame. Monogrammed and dated. Signed to the reverse.

Condition

Overall the painting is in very good condition. There is a diagonal mark that runs through the painting, however this has been restored and is only visible in a certain light. Minor marks to the frame.

Artist Biography

Theo Booth was born in Gloucestershire in 1947 and trained as an engineer. Eventually he took up photography and boat restoring as a hobby. Alongside a lifelong interest in music, jazz particularly, an initial painting hobby became a full-time preoccupation in the 90's. After painting for some years in Croatia and Portugal, Theo now resides and has a studio in Catalonia,Spain, but still spends a lot of time back in England.
