Millington was born in Birmingham in 1942 where he went on to study painting at the Birmingham College of Art before moving to Manchester. He is best known for his photorealistic aquatints depicting still life subjects. His work is held in public and private collections worldwide notably the Arts Council of Great Britain Tate Gallery and Victoria and Albert Museum.
