A charming watercolour painting by Terence Dalley, depicting a view of Pen Ponds in Richmond Park. Signed, dated and inscribed with title to the lower right-hand corner. There is a purchase invoice attached to the reverse from the Putney Arts Festival of 2003. Well-presented in a double card mount and in a light wooden frame. On watercolour paper.

In fine condition overall, with very minor scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography

Artist and illustrator born in Kusumu, Kenya. Dalley attended St. Martin's School of Art, 1954-57 and RCA, 1957-60. Visited Ulm, Germany, on an exchange scholarship and on his return to London worked for a printing house, in advertising and as a designer-illustrator. In 1971 he held a solo exhibition, 'The Silent Docks and London Streets', at Upper Grosvenor Galleries, London. Dalley has also taught at Wimbledon College of Art from 1967 for nearly 20 years and has also shown at the RWS and at the Mall Galleries.
