A striking stipple engraved portrait after the original painting by E.V.Rippingille. The sitter is a beautiful young woman whose head is tilted to one side with a distant look in her eye. A label at the reverse indicates that this strike as hand coloured by Colonel L. F. Macey, CBE. The engraving has been attractively framed in a contemporary gilt frame with foliate corners and beaded strap work. The frame is finished with a layered burgundy oval mount.
