T. Holloway after Raphael - Original 1820 Engraving. Flymas the Sorcerer Struck with Blindness. Engraved by Thomas Holloway, Historical Engraver to the King, pub. Oct 1st 1820 by T. Holloway, R. Slank & T.S.Webb, Hampton Court. Engraved after Raphael's original 1515 series of painted designs for tapestries, 'The Raphael Cartoons', commissioned by Pope Leo X for the Sistine Chapel. On laid. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, light foxing and age toning. Creases to edges and upper right and lower left corners. A few tiny tears to the sheet edges.
