Susie Gradwell - Contemporary Oil Galleon

Description

This intriguing stencil scene depicts a 14th century Italian Galleon ship, with noble figures praying on board. The artist has used stencils to print twisting carved column on either side of the religious image, as well as a decorative green foliate motif. The plaque is signed and inscribed to the reverse by the artist. On a hand carved wood panel.

Artist Biography

After studying at St. Martin's School of Art (BA) and The Central School of Art (MA), Susan worked in London, before moving to the West Country, where she continues to live and work. Her paintings and etchings are regularly selected for Open Competition Exhibitions, including the RA Summer Exhibition, London and the RWA, Bristol. Her work is to be found in collections in the UK, France, Spain, Australia and the USA.

Susan Gradwell is a member of Bath Society of Artists, Spike Print Studio and Somerset Printmakers.
