Atmospheric painter and draughtsman, born in Hexham, Northumberland. Graduated with honours from Edinburgh College of Art, 1992-6, gaining her master’s in painting there, 1996–8. Awards included Scottish Gallery Prize for Drawing, Eastern General Hospital, 1996; Highly Commended, D M Hall Centenary Exhibition, and Andrew Grant Bequest Prize for Drawing, both 1997; and Scottish International Educational Trust Award, 1998.
