Description

A view in Biella, near Florence, featuring a historic building beside a stone bridge. A slow river runs through the composition from the foreground. The first of two works depicting the same scene by the artist. Signed and dated to the lower-left edge. Inscribed with the location to the centre of the lower edge. Also signed and dated to the right-hand side of the lower-right quadrant. There is an unfinished watercolour study of a similar scene on the verso. On watercolour paper.

Condition

There is some slight foxing and discolouration and minor surface marks. Overall bright and in good condition.
