Description
A fine gouache and watercolour painting by the British artist Sonia Robinson, depicting a street scene in the French town of Pont-Croix. Signed to the lower right-hand corner. There is an artist's label on the reverse, a another inscribed with the title. Presented in a double card mount and in a gilt effect frame.
On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, otherwise in good condition. Small scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography
Painter of landscapes and harbour scenes born in Manchester. She attended Manchester College of Art and Design and Hornsey College of Art, settling in Cornwall in 1965. Robinson has exhibited in St. Ives at the RI and elsewhere including the USA, France and Australia. She is an elected member of the SWA, St. Ives Society of Artists and the Newlyn Society of Artists. Robinson was also elected a member of the RSMA in 1979. Examples of her work are in the collections of National Maritime Museum.
