Simon Turvey is a wild-life artist born in Kent. He spent two years at Ravensbourne College of Art and became a professional painter at the age of 20. Turvey has exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Singer and Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition and the BP Portrait Award Exhibition. He was elected a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists in 1981. He concentrates on painting British wildlife and in 2003 he exhibited in London at the Frank T. Sabin Gallery
