A charming still life scene by the Hungarian artist Sandor Nandory depicting an rich array of fruit and nuts beside a decorative stoneware pitcher and all set against a dark background. Signed. Beautifully presented in a swept gilt frame. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

Light discolouration to the varnish. The artwork has been previously restored including a tear repair and corresponding overpainting. Overall the artwork is in good condition for its age. Some wear to the frame, including scuffs, chips and fine cracking. The frame has also been previously restored, including a fill to the lower left. Overall the frame remains in good condition.
