A vibrant contemporary mixed media piece in pastel, charcoal and watercolour showing a bright summer's day in a continental orchard. The artist has signed and dated to the lower right corner and the artwork has been presented in a simple pine frame with card mount. On watercolour paper.

Artist Biography

Sally Scott is a British artist born in 1939. She studied painting at Croydon College of Art and the Royal Academy Schools before becoming a professional painter and glass engraver. She taught at Birmingham School of Art, Hornsey College of Art and Middlesex Polytechnic, 1963-1991


From 1986 to 2000 she worked in partnership with David Peace, as Peace & Scott for collaboration on architectural glass projects. Since then she has continued the glass work alone and sometimes in collaboration with other artists. In 2019 She completed a three panel glass work for Corpus Christi College, Oxford. This was her last big glass commission. Now she is concentrating on painting.


A retrospective exhibition of Sally’s work was held at The Menier Gallery, London in 2019.
