S.R.G. - c.1887 Watercolour Stonehenge

Description

A watercolour and body colour view of a carriage beside Stonehenge, a prehistoric monument on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire. Presented glazed in a cream mount and a thin green and gilt-effect frame. Monogrammed to the lower-right corner. The date of the painting is judged according to works by the same hand in the possession of Sulis Fine Art. On watercolour paper.

Condition

There is some slight discolouration and scratches to the frame but overall the painting is in excellent condition for its age.
