A copy of Édouard Manet's 1866 painting 'The Fifer'. The original is usually kept in the Musée d'Orsay, Paris, and is now on loan to the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum. Painted on canvas laid to board. A portrait of a young lady is also visble on the reverse. Signed.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and surface dirt. Inspection under UV light reveals no signs of restoration.
