A fine pair of contemporary oil landscapes in the style of the Dutch School painters of the 17thC. One scene shows a sunset over a rural church and the other a continental lake scene.
The church scene has been signed to the lower right corner and both have been identically framed in contemporary, gilt effect frames with beaded strapwork.
On board.The paintings have forced discolouration to make them appear aged and the church scene has a crack to the board at the lower left corner. The frames have some scuffing and scratching the the surface and one has a small loss to the lower right corner.
