Description

This striking monochrome watercolour depicts a steep section of Snowden's railway with smoking steam train makes its journey to the summit. Signed 'R. H. Sauter' to the lower right. Well-presented in a beautiful stained oak frame with a later inscription verso. On fibrous paper.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.
