A self-taught artist born in Dursley, Gloucestershire. Since 1965, he has exhibited regularly and widely and as well as annual solo shows in Gloucestershire, his work has appeared in many group exhibitions including the RWA and the RA Summer Exhibitions. Although best known for his paintings of the local Cotswold scenery, he works in many parts of this country, especially the Welsh coast, the Morecambe Bay area, and East Anglia. He also paints in the Gironde and the Dordogne regions of France, during the summer months.
