A delightful study depicting a village street leading to a church. The artist captures the scene in an impressionist style using heavily applied oil paint to create texture within the scene. Unsigned. Artist name inscribed to the reverse with exhibition label and biographical details written in Dutch. Presented in a rustic gilt frame with a cotton slip. On panel.

Artist Biography

Roger Vlaminck was born in St. Pauwels-Waas in Belgium. He studied at the Municipal Academy in St. Niklaas and he was an honorary member of the Haagese Kunstkring. On 7 November 1971 he passed away completely unexpectedly in Antwerp.
